Ian Edwards is a contemporary figurative sculptor.
From an early age, he enjoyed expressing his creativity, creating beautiful things from sticks and wooden materials. At just 16 years old he began a five year apprenticeship with g7H Master Carvers and Gilders. He was closely tutored in exquisite wood carving techniques and he found his love of form and movement in animal and human bodies.
Ian began to create his sculptures of wildlife he found whilst out walking in the countryside. Over the years his style and inspirations changed and he began to express his creativity through 'Sculptures of Meaning'. At the cornerstone of his works is the endeavour of the human spirit, reflecting the need of each individual to find their life's calling.
'Inspirational sculptures which resonate with that which is at the human core'
Ian's work is available in limited edition bronze and some resin. He has exhibited worldwide and his works feature in many private and public collections.
