John Honsinger is the designer and creator of furniture made from old Mediterranean vine wood.
He discovered the use of roots and branches of the grape vines as furniture over twenty years ago in the South of France when he noticed they only seemed to serve the purpose of firewood once removed.
What began as a hobby soon become a life long passion with the vine or 'souche' as it is known in France. He began to create a limited range of furniture that was and is to this day undeniably unique and architecturally stunning.
John's designing days follow an illustrious career at Saatchi & Saatchi, London, in the creative advertising world.
He says: "Owning an item of furniture like this is an expression of individuality and will become a statement piece in any home. It is unique and timeless - both old yet new, with a natural beauty that is enhanced through its design. It gives me great pleasure to be able to share my passion with others".
