Willard Wigan MBE is world renowned for creating the smallest handmade sculptures in history, that sit in the eye of a needle.
Willard was born in Wolverhamptin in 1957. He struggled at school and later discovered he had dyslexia and mild autism. However, this did not hold him back and he found comfort in using his artistic skills to create art in such tiny proportions that it is not visible to the naked eye.
If his work couldn't be seen then it could not be criticised! In order to create the sculptures, Willard enters a meditative state to slow down his heart beat and reduce hand tremors.
Willard's work has been purchased by corporate and individual collectors, including some royalty.
