Jenny's designs are inspired by her experiences in childhood. Of Saltram, she says:
"I spent countless hours walking along the outer route of Saltram as a child, as well as hours running around the gardens inside the National Trust property grounds. There are several ponds throughout Saltram that I would spend hours by. There's a circular man made pond in the internal gardens, surrounded by white iron benches, a gravel footpath and pristine flowers. Every spring this pond would be filled with thousands of tadpoles and I would spend hours crouched on the gravel watching them wriggle through the water, the trickle of the sculptural water fountain bubbling in the background.
"In contrast, the pond in the fields along the outer route of Saltram, where the cows would graze, was wild. With a wooden jetty strutting out, amongst the bullrushes, this pond with expand and shrink with the spring rain. While the former pond inspired the front of the cushion, the latter inspired the back, wild brambles and frogs make up this print, to reflect the contrast in settings, but my equal love for the two."
